Most online employment services companies regularly send email alerts announcing job openings and skills-building resources matching the stated interests of the job seeker. If you have identified preferred potential employers or clients, it is highly recommended that you check their website for job openings.

 

  • Glassdoor – A top-rated full-service website popular with mid and high-level white-collar and administrative job seekers.
  • org – known for its humanist focus linking socially conscious people with mission-driven opportunities worldwide- connects working people to various options, including jobs, volunteering, internships, board memberships, and higher education.
  • Indeed – a full-service website with helpful information for job seekers, employers, and entrepreneurs, including job search databases, submitting job applications, resume and cover letter preparation, plus tips on interviewing for a new job, navigating the workplace, and building a career.
  • Linkedin – Microsoft’s online community of workers, businesses, and opportunity seekers of every stripe is designed with effective social networking features. A separate JOBS section makes it easy to apply for jobs online, conduct ongoing individualized job searches, and track the number of other applications submitted for a particular opening. Useful for nationwide job hunting, it is also considered far more effective for growing career-building relationships than Facebook or Twitter.

  • Zip Recruiter – A popular data-driven full service website with thousands of employment postings and other resources for successful job hunting.
